Ambient Alpha Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Ambient Alpha app and its service. Use of the Major 7 Apps website is described separately at https://major7apps.com/privacy. Ambient Alpha is published by Major 7 Apps. You do not create an Ambient Alpha account or provide your name, email address, or payment-card details in the app. To provide licensed access, the service retains limited information about this Apple TV and its App Store subscription, as described below. The app does not contain advertising or analytics and does not use this information for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

Explore Demo

Demo uses only curated sample data shipped with the app and does not contact market-data services. Your choice to explore the demo and its display preferences stay on this Apple TV, separately from your personal watchlist and portfolio. Subscribe and Restore Purchases explicitly enter the App Store and licensed-access flow.

What stays on this Apple TV

Your profiles, watchlists, portfolio allocations and amounts are stored on this Apple TV. The app also saves a limited archive of public AI market context with its original dates and supporting observations. Saved AI is eligible for display only while it is less than 24 hours old and passes the app's other checks. Expired entries are withheld from display; the archive is cleaned when the app successfully saves it. Removing the app should not be relied on to cancel an Apple subscription or delete its device identity from the service.

Device and subscription records

For licensed access, this Apple TV holds a private signing key in its system keychain. The private key stays on the device. The service stores the corresponding public key, an opaque device identifier, and a pseudonymous subscription identifier derived from an Apple transaction. It also stores the subscription product, entitlement status and relevant dates. These records allow the service to verify access, recognize an existing device, and enforce the device limit. They do not contain your name or payment-card details, but they link this device to its subscription.

What leaves this Apple TV

To verify licensed access, Ambient Alpha sends the service an Apple-signed subscription transaction and proof from this Apple TV. To show market data, it requests the instruments the display is showing or the text you typed when searching for an instrument. The service uses those requests to return market values and context. Your portfolio allocations and amounts are not sent. The service temporarily keeps a shared list of requested instruments and news to choose AI context. This list is not grouped by customer or device.

The token the service issues is short-lived, is held in memory only, and is discarded when Ambient Alpha stops.

Server retention

When the service verifies that an entitlement is no longer active, its entitlement record is marked for automatic expiration 30 days after that verification. Storage deletion may occur later. Device registration records have a separate lifecycle and remain until removed through service administration. Deleting the app or cancelling a subscription does not itself guarantee immediate deletion of these records. AI processing

The service uses OpenAI to help generate market context from selected public market observations. Requested instruments and news can influence which shared market context is generated. It does not send your portfolio amounts, device identity or Apple transaction to the AI provider, or identify which customer's requests selected an instrument or news item. AI context can be incomplete or incorrect. The app distinguishes current AI from dated Saved AI and preserves the source dates of supporting observations.
